Ever feel like you’re everywhere and nowhere at once?

As the summer term ends, many working parents are feeling the strain—dashing between sports day 🏃‍♀️, class assemblies 🎭, end-of-year reports 📚, and sorting childcare before the holidays begin. It’s a season of mixed emotions: pride, exhaustion, and the ever-present juggle.

It can feel like spinning plates—trying to tie up work projects while being present for those end-of-term milestones. Missing those moments can leave you feeling torn in two, especially with the added pressure of planning for the long summer break ☀️.

Like so many of you, I know what it’s like to feel stretched—to want to be everywhere at once and still give your best. Last week, I was up at 5:30 every morning to get my daughter to her work experience placement—she was buzzing, I was mostly running on caffeine and blind optimism. It’s in those everyday moments of chaos and connection that we find our strength. We’re not alone in this, even if it sometimes feels like we’re the only ones awake before sunrise!

To every parent closing out another school year: you’ve done brilliantly 👏. Here’s to the mums and dads doing their best, every single day ❤️.
